Morgan House Today I started working on my first story, its on local artist Pam Carnochan who paints with wool. The family also owns a bed and breakfast that is solar and wind powered, and offers organic breakfast from their animals. Pam's wool for her projects comes straight from her own sheep, and is died using her own plants and sometime using kool aid. Pam's animals are a large part of her life and is deeply inspired by "the group of seven" Pam even gave me a lesson well I was at the house, I love painting with wool and will continue...
so I started my internship... It was interesting, I spent the day writing book reviews for the Festival of the Books which will be going in the Muskoka Sun...not really how I wanted to spend my first day but I really enjoyed writing!! These are all the papers (magazine) that the office in Bracebridge (where I am working) put together and that I will be working for! I have a great summer ahead of me and I can't wait.
so today my Editor and I were kicked off the property where G8 security will be staying during the G8 summit. Pretty interesting for my first weekend on the paper, I also just found out that I may be given a media pass during the G8...I can’t wait
my first day working on the paper I went around with the Editor in Huntsville looking for features! We met with some pretty interesting people even in the snowy weather.
I am currently working at the Huntsville Forester. Its a three week unpaid internship where I will be working for the paper and a magazine called Beyond the city. This was my first assignment to shoot the figure skating at the Ontario Winter Games for the editor before she could give me the job. It ran front page.
During my first study week I shot the fall fair in Bracebridge Ont. I had a great time shooting the fairest-wheel, a lot of great colours from the lights when the sun goes down.
In the Belleville Bay View mall I met a group of seniors that get together every morning for breakfast at Irene’s Diner. This is how I met the “muddbrothers” Walter & Dave Mudd and Frances Scully .
Doug Leigh lit the flame in Huntsville, Ont. Huntsville was the only town in Perry Sound- Muskoka where the torch was stopped on its 106 day torch run. What an amazing day, to see so many people from our small town come together to support Canadian athletes
On Feb 20,2010 I went to Napanee, Ont and shot curling for the first time..and what a experience I had. When I walked in I thought that I was going to be bored but No the ladies from the TNA Diva curling team kept me and many others entertained with their rubber boobs and rubber butts.
During my first couple of weeks back at Loyalist I went to Kingston to shoot the Royal Military college competition for the first years. It was a cold rainy day, but overall was great for pictures.
During the summer of 2009 my great grandmother was told that she had cancer. This hit my family very hard, but my grandmother recovered amazingly after months of hospital visits and operations. These are some shots I took of my mother and great grandmother during her first winter cancer free.
